Lavalette is a great family town. There is a beautiful one mile long boardwalk with access to the beach from every street. There are two beaches on Barnegat Bay and 8 ocean beaches for swimming. Because of its Bay and Ocean Beaches, Lavallette has always been an ideal family community. There are beaches designated for surfing and fishing, as well as playgrounds and crabbing docks. Vacationers can go boating, windsurf or water ski on Barnegat Bay. Lavalette is one of the nicest beaches on the Barnegat Penisula. There are pleny of places to eat and shop in town. ALthough you are far enough away from the busier shore areas of Toms River and Point Pleasant, you are still close enough to them via a short drive. Lavallette's Beaches There are lifeguards on an ocean beach and two bay beaches during the summer. Beach badges are required when the lifeguards are present. Lavalette has 3 hotels or acutally one Inn, one Motel and one Motor Lodge. It could be hard to rent a room on short notice, especially on a weekend. One of the best ways to experience Lavalette, is by renting a home. But do look and book early. The end of the summer is a good time to look for the following summer. |
